Live Industrial's range of "other packaging equipment" includes
a wide range of conveyor systems to suit every industrial
application - whether to adapt to existing manufacturing lines, or to
complement Live Industrial's extensive range of packaging equipment.
We sell, install and commission our entire range of conveyor systems
throughout Melbourne, Victoria and Australia, and provide on-going
technical support for all systems sold.
Live Industrial's conveyor
systems are Australian-designed and manufactured. These high-quality,
affordable conveyor systems are reliable, specialised conveyor systems,
purpose-designed and -built to suit all manufacturing and packaging
customers that require a conveyor-based solution, whether it be
manufacturing or assembly.

Belt Conveyor Systems
Belt conveyors utilise a flat belt running on a flat fabricated steel deck or over
rollers. They are ideally suited to irregular shaped product that cannot
easily be handled on any other conveyor styles eg. floppy sacks or
satchels; bags of powder and flour; or raw food products. The belt
conveyor is an
excellent choice for handling items with loose strings or
tapes attached that would otherwise get caught in other conveyor styles,
and where a change in elevation is required. |

Chain Conveyor Systems
Chain conveyor systems have multiple strands of chains running
over fabricated frames and guides.
They are used where positive transport of goods is required, often in conjunction with roller conveyors where a change in
direction is required.
Chain conveyor systems are commonly used for the movement of heavy loads eg. pallets, drums
and stillages in
warehouses, manufacturing areas and mailing rooms.
Where a product is irregularly shaped, or has
protrusions, a chain conveyor is often used. |

Chain Driven Roller Conveyor Systems
A chain driven roller
conveyor system is one where the power
to the rollers is transmitted via a chain and sprocket drive. Chain driven
roller conveyors provide good positive drive for heavy loads eg. crates, drums, cartons, stillages and pallets,
while giving low
pressure accumulation,
enabling the conveyor to be controlled to store or accumulate product on
it when required, and released gradually as desired for further
transport or processing. |

Gravity Roller Conveyor Systems
Gravity roller conveyor
systems are the most economical of those that utilise free-running static rollers of steel or plastic
materials, mounted into a simple steel frame.
Gravity roller conveyors can be used as a horizontal section in manufacturing or
marshalling operations, or can be mounted with “fall” so that the decline
angle makes use of free gravity forces to allow the product to move
unassisted due to gravitational pull.
They are suited to any product with a flat base such as
a carton, drum or plastic tote bins. |

Line Shaft Conveyor Systems
Line shaft conveyors
operate via a single
rotating shaft mounted within the conveyor body, which rotates each roller by specially designed belts connecting the
rollers to the shaft. This simple conveyor style enables the
system to include straight run sections, curves,
junctions and transfers using a minimal amount
of drive motors. It is suited to warehouse or manufacturing
applications where lighter weight cartons or tote bins need to be moved, allowing for directional changes. |

 |
Multidirectional Roller Conveyor Systems
Multidirectional
roller conveyor systems are designed to allow
products to be manually transferred off production or
packaging lines into junctions, and for ease of product rotation during manufacturing or
inspection processes. Their unique design allows for straight line movement in a normal transport
operation, while allowing the operator to
move the product in any direction. It is useful in
situations where a load may need to be rotated, or where it needs to be
moved from one line to another during the assembly process. |

Pallet and Drum Conveyor Systems
Pallet and drum conveyor systems are used to transport heavy items such as drums, pallets, stillages, cartons and air
cargo containers, and often when stringent specifications for
handling heavy loads apply. Utilising a variety of conveyor
types, including
gravity roller,
chain,
chain driven roller and
belt conveyors as appropriate to
the handling requirements, thereby increasing efficiency, safe
handling practices by removing the human element, and also
inefficiencies. |

 |
Powered Roller Conveyor Systems
Powered roller conveyor systems encompass all of the driven
roller styles of conveyor including line
shaft, chain driven
roller and belt conveyors.
All these conveyors are used in applications where straight
transport or change of direction is required, and also provide
varying forms of accumulation. The
powered roller conveyor is the premium solution where a low
maintenance, trouble-free storage solution is needed, allowing
buffering between manufacturing cells or prior to automatic
palletisers. |

Skate Wheel Conveyor Systems
Skate wheel conveyor
systems operate in a very similar way to gravity roller
conveyors, but incorporate wheels instead of rollers and can be
horizontal or declining. Skate wheel conveyors are economical
and suitable for light to medium weight products with a flat
base. This conveyor is unsuitable for drums or bagged product
with an uneven base or snagging liabilities (ie. loose threads,
handles, etc.). |

Slat Chain Conveyor Systems
Slat chain conveyors
are another type of chain conveyor that uses many types of
interleaving segments to form a slat type chain of synthetic polymer or stainless steel construction, in low
friction or friction grip styles. Slat chain conveyors are used in high wear areas, often for handling individual
packets or cans in can filling or bottling operations; other
food manufacturing operations; and in freight
handling applications. |
